I love the general waftiness of these wild carrot seed heads. These ones are by the river in Amersham and make for an intriguing and photogenic walk - it was hard to stop filming them!!! 🥕 🥕 🥕 Spotted this one by (what’s left of!) the River Misbourne in Amersham which I hadn’t seen before 🤓. It’s Orange Balsam. Very pretty and was introduced to the U.K. as an ornamental flower by the Victorians. It’s now a garden escapee and is found widely by the side of chalkstreams. I’ve read mixed information about whether this is thought to be a threat to native species or not, it’s not as prolific as the Himalayan Balsam which rapidly crowds out other species and can lead to soil bank erosion. Hello! I’ve been super quiet on social media of late. I’ve had a few other things going on, not least a super fun and whacky Masters degree in ‘Outdoor and Experiential Education’ which has consumed a huge amount of my time and brain capacity over the last year 🤪. Well, it’s coming towards the end of wreath season…. But not quite! Loving this super jolly and bright one 🎄❤️🎄. #wreath #nearlychristmas #loveyourfrontdoor #doorwreath #seasonalflowers #doorwreath #feelingfestive #amersham #chilterns #buckinghamshireflorist Plenty going on in this wreath!! With a little help from @irishgreenguys 🌲🌿🍃💕. #keepingitgreen #loveyourfrontdoor #christmaswreath #driedflowers #evergreen #lodgepolepine #ozothamnus #christmas2021 #amersham #chilterns #buckinghamshireflorist Is it really Friday again??? 🤯.
